Bormioli Rocco Selecta Decanter Review In Short…

Overall the Bormioli Rocco Selecta decanter gets 40.8 points out of 60 which translates to a 66%. This decanter gets high marks for it’s practicality and low marks for its poor quality and lack of uniqueness. We have rated this as a below average decanter, on average it is rated significantly higher than others in its price range.

From the Manufacturer:

The fine tradition of the Bormioli Rocco Group coincides with the very history of glass: the first glassworks was established in Parma in 1825. The company has always demonstrated a great drive to pioneer innovation: in machinery, materials and design. Over the years it has developed a special talent, that of combining time-honoured craftsmanship and the passion of master glassmakers with modern industrial processes. Bormioli Rocco is the leading company in its sector in Italy and a great ambassador of the Made in Italy label on international markets.

Bormioli Rocco Selecta Liquor Decanter Review

Customer Quotes:

Negative Comments:

#1) Pathetic! No shine in the glass whatsoever. Almost looks like plastic.

#2) There is a plastic fit stopper for the top which is just terrible for any good liquor decanter.

#3) I seems well made, but a major problem that I have is the cap does not sit in the opening correctly. It wiggles back and forth and makes it seem very cheap.

#4) The cap sits cock-eyed in the top of the decanter when pushed all the way down – this takes away from the look of the decanter and gives a sense of cheapness.

Positive Comments:

#1) Beautiful crystal cut and fully functional decanter. We use this to put the cheap whiskey in when multiple people come over, keep the good stuff under the bar. People will always choose the product in the fancy container and swear it’s the best they have ever had.

#2) Absolutely gorgeous! I chose these to hold mouthwash & they add such an elegant (and expensive looking) touch to the bathrooms. The “etching” is very reminiscent of a pineapple.
